Volpe Service Company is committed to making our website and services accessible to every visitor — including people with disabilities. We strive to provide an experience that follows accepted accessibility standards and we welcome feedback that helps us improve.
Our Commitment
We design, build, and maintain volpeservice.com with accessibility in mind and review our practices on an ongoing basis. Accessibility is not a one-time project — it's a continuous effort.
Conformance Target
Our goal is to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA standard published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines are also aligned with Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as applied to commercial websites. We use these standards as a benchmark, not a ceiling — where we can do better, we will.
What We Do
To support accessibility, our site is built and reviewed with:
- Semantic HTML markup — proper headings, landmarks (header, navigation, main, footer), and form labels so assistive technologies can navigate the page meaningfully.
- Descriptive alternative text for informative images (decorative images are marked as decoration so screen readers skip them).
- Keyboard operability — all interactive elements (links, buttons, form fields, menus) are reachable and usable with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator on every focusable element.
- Color contrast meeting WCAG AA minimums (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text and UI components).
- Resizable text — the site supports browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content or function.
- Predictable navigation — consistent menus, link names, and page structure across the site.
- Form errors in text — when a form input is invalid, the error message is conveyed in plain text (not by color alone) and associated with the input for assistive technologies.
- Reduced-motion support — animations honor the
prefers-reduced-motionsystem setting when present. - Phone-call alternative — every page makes our phone number reachable so a visitor can request service by voice if they prefer.
Known Limitations
We work continuously to improve accessibility, but some areas may still fall short of our conformance target. Known limitations include:
- Third-party content. Some embedded tools (financing applications, live chat, video players, mapping widgets) are provided by third parties and may not fully meet WCAG 2.2 AA. We monitor these vendors and choose accessible alternatives where reasonably available.
- Legacy images. Older photographs in our gallery and blog may have shorter alternative text than ideal. We update alt text as we refresh the image library.
- PDF documents. Some legacy PDF documents (warranty forms, manufacturer brochures) may not be fully tagged for screen readers. If you need the information in those documents in another format, please contact us using the path below.
How to Reach Us — Accessibility Feedback and Help

We will respond within 5 business days and work to provide the information you need in a format that works for you.

Service Accessibility
Accessibility is not limited to our website. If you need to arrange HVAC service and have specific accommodations (e.g., a service-animal in the home, a hearing-impaired contact, scheduling that avoids quiet hours for a sound-sensitive household member), please tell us when you call or write. Our technicians and office team will work with you.
